Rental Requirements

Minimum hire age is 21 years except specialty vehicles which has a minimum hire age of 25 years. All hirers must hold a current, full and unrestricted New Zealand driver’s licence which has been held for at least one year, OR a current international licence must accompany any driver’s licence presented in a language other than English. All drivers must be listed on rental agreement. Minimum hire period applies to all vehicle types, please check details under specific vehicle requested.

Rates

Rates are based on a 24 hour hire period and include unlimited km, comprehensive vehicle insurance and GST (New Zealand Government Goods & Service Tax of 15%) except some specialty vehicles* Please check details under specific vehicle requested.

*Specialty Vehicles – Rates are based on a 24 hour hire period and include 150km free per day. Additional km will be charged at .35c per km travelled, calculated on return of vehicle, including GST (New Zealand Government Goods & Service Tax of 15%).

Fuel

Fuel is not included in the daily rate. Each vehicle is supplied with a full tank of fuel, which is refilled at the hirer’s expense on return. If the vehicle is not returned with a full tank, the hirer will be charged for the fuel required to refill the tank plus any applicable charges. Please ensure the correct fuel type is used when refueling vehicles, in most cases this will be ‘premium’ fuel unless otherwise specified. Failure to use the correct fuel type when refueling can result in damage to the vehicles engine.

Insurance

Comprehensive vehicle insurance is included in the daily rate. The hirer is responsible for the insurance excess of NZ$2,500 which applies to all vehicle types.  This can be reduced to NZ$500 by paying an additional NZ$25 per day of hire. Sorry, but there is NO option to waiver or reduce the excess amount on our specialty vehicles. All hirers must provide valid credit card details which will be held as security against the excess on commencement and for the duration of hire. We strongly recommend visitors to have personal travel insurance which includes the provision for rental vehicle excess cover.

Drop Off | Pick Up

We offer a personalised service and can arrange delivery to your motel/private accommodation or lodge within the Christchurch and Queenstown airport precinct, subject to prior arrangement. Contact us to secure a booking for your next hire now.

Payment

We accept Cash, Visa or MasterCard credit cards only* (Diners Club, American Express or debit cards will not be accepted). No deposit is required however a valid credit card is required to secure your booking, full payment is required on pick up. Cash will not be accepted or held for insurance excess purposes, a valid credit card must be used. Credit card details are held on file for any traffic infringements or extra charges incurred during the period of hire. A NZ$100 fee will be charged if cancelled within seven days of pick up or in the event of NO SHOW.
